Client company is an energy infrastructure owner with completed transactions totaling over $1 billion. Our client looking to hire an Engineering Manager for their Community Solar Division to oversee all technical designs and energy models from acquisition through COD. This role includes managing technical RFIs, interfacing with utilities and AHJs to support interconnections, and acting as the internal subject matter expert.
About the Position
We are seeking an organized and detail-oriented Engineering Manager to join our client's team, with opportunities available in San Francisco, CA; New York, NY; and Washington, DC. The salary range for this role is $150,000-$180,000. The Engineering Manager will be responsible for managing independent and owner's engineering teams to achieve project and organizational goals related to client solar projects. Key responsibilities include:
- Managing all technical designs and owning energy models from acquisition through COD.
- Overseeing technical RFIs and responses during construction.
- Interfacing with utilities and AHJs to support interconnections and achieve COD.
- Facilitating communication with internal leadership.
- Collaborating with the Project Delivery team to respond to third-party financing deliverables.
- Off-boarding projects to the designated Asset Manager at COD.
Requirements
- 5-7 years of experience in solar construction and/or project management.
- Impeccable integrity and glowing references.
- Leadership skills to support the technical delivery of projects.
- Organizational skills to manage critical deliverables across multiple teams/projects.
- Communication skills to navigate internal and external reviews and reporting.
- Extensive background in reviewing and interpreting Independent Engineering Reports, Purchase Power Agreements, Interconnect Agreements, and EPC Agreements.
- Experience managing non-ministerial permitting preferred.
- Basic understanding of Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) systems, communication networks, and service procurement preferred.
