Human Resources Manager

Matt joined Kimmel & Associates in 2023 as Human Resources Manager.

Previously, Matt served as an Executive Recruitment Consultant at Kimmel & Associates from 2019 to 2021. His career includes more than 20 years in sales and human resources management, recruitment, and training roles.

He studied telecommunications at Lee University.

In his spare time, Matt enjoys spending time with his family and friends.

We sat down with Matt and asked him the following:

• What do you like most about working at Kimmel & Associates?
  I believe in serving others and helping them get the most out of their careers and development. Kimmel & Associates’ beliefs align with mine.
• What is one thing you learned early in your career that has made you successful?
  No matter what I may be in the middle of, be genuinely approachable. People can sense when they have your undivided attention.
• What is your greatest strength in your role?
  I am a great listener. I’m here to support our employees as needed, and assessing those needs begins with listening.
• Describe the most rewarding experience of your career.
  I once hired a Customer Service Associate and assisted him through his development as an employee all the way to running his own retail store. It was very rewarding, and he still reaches out from time to time to say “Thanks.”
• Favorite book?
  The Hobbit.
• What causes are you passionate about?
  Recently, I had the opportunity to work within the behavioral health field. That opened my eyes to the growing importance of ensuring our wellness, both mentally and physically. Seek help; you’re not alone.
• Personal interests?
  I enjoy coaching baseball, previously with my oldest son and now with his younger brother. I am also an avid gamer, spending much of my free time at night playing video games; Zelda is my favorite series.
