Mark Sevier

Vice President

Mark started working with Kimmel & Associates in 2006 in the Mechanical & Electrical Division. He specializes in the South/Southeast electrical market.

He received a BS in Mathematics - Secondary Education from Appalachian State University. Prior to joining Kimmel & Associates, he was a high school math teacher and coach.

Mark spends his free time with his wife and their three children, and he is an active member of his church. He shows his support for his community by volunteering with local charities and organizations, such as Eblen Charities. He also enjoys an active lifestyle through running and mountain biking.

We sat down with Mark and asked him the following:

• What is one thing you learned early in your career that has made you successful?
  Keep calling and talking to people. Get to know the person and stop trying to just fill a position.
• What is your greatest strength in your role?
  With over 15 years of experience working in the same market, I have gotten to really know the people and companies in my territory.
• What can clients and candidates expect from you?
  Honesty.
• What makes you different from other recruiters in your industry?
  Honesty and ethics. I let candidates know where I’m sending their resume. I also don’t try and talk them into positions that don’t fit what they are looking for.
• Personal interests?
  I enjoy coaching and watching my kids’ sports. I’m a passionate sports fan of the Atlanta Braves and Philadelphia Eagles. When I have time, I enjoy smoking delicious BBQ ribs and chicken.
