“Working with a servant’s heart” is the motto that David has always lived by.
In his spare time, he enjoys spending time with his wife and two daughters. He feels that his family is lucky to live amongst the beautiful mountains of Western North Carolina.
We sat down with David and asked him the following:
-
What do you like most about working at Kimmel & Associates?
The people! -
What is one thing you learned early in your career that has made you successful?
To paraphrase Maya Angelou, “People don’t remember what you did or what you said, they remember how you made them feel.” -
What is your greatest strength in your role?
Being candid and genuine throughout the recruiting process. -
What can clients and candidates expect from you?
They can count on an intimate knowledge within the MEP industry in the markets I serve, as well as a career-directed approach to the recruiting process. -
What makes you different from other recruiters in your industry?
A culture-first approach to recruiting. You simply can’t have a long-term working relationship without a parallel view of company culture. -
Do you have a favorite quote, book, or movie?
Remember the Titans, and the Luke Combs song “The Great Divide.” Both are perfect storylines to display the idea that “the side of the fence we stand on doesn’t make us too different to get along.” -
What causes are you passionate about?
I’m passionate about raising two strong-minded, high-character daughters. I believe athletics and other organized team activities are a useful vehicle for developing a child’s ability to work well with others, learn the value of work ethic, and be exposed to different philosophies and walks of life. My way of sharing these principles is to support kids through coaching. -
Personal interests?
The New England Patriots and Boston Red Sox. Favorite destination is Boothbay Harbor, Maine.
