We sat down with Charlie and asked him the following:
-
What do you like most about working at Kimmel & Associates?
For me, having the opportunity to lead and be a part of such an incredible group of professionals (and leaders in their own right) is truly the best. We are a team and that is what makes us successful. -
What is one thing you learned early in your career that has made you successful?
To do the work that others are not willing to do. Throughout my career, it has made all the difference. This mindset inspires the way we operate here at Kimmel. -
Describe the most rewarding experience of your career.
Knowing how we’ve impacted lives over the last 40 years has been the most rewarding. Whether it’s an employee needing a second chance at life/career, volunteering for a community project, helping a candidate land their dream job, or fulfilling an urgent hiring need of a client so they do not lose a multimillion-dollar project, helping people is the most fulfilling. -
Do you have a favorite book or quote?
By far, The Art of War by Sun Tzu has influenced me more than any other in my professional life. The concept of preparing and awaiting the proper opportunities has been transformative. One of my favorite quotes comes from Coach John Wooden “Success comes from knowing that you did your best to become the best that you are capable of becoming.” I believe in this quote so much that I had it painted on one of the walls in our building. -
Personal interests?
The Carolina Panthers are my favorite sports team. Being from Nevada, I feel a duty to pull for those teams too. I enjoy reading biographies and history-related books, and spending time with my family.
